Individual Counselling – The First Step Toward a Better Version of Yourself
Mens counselling can feel a little daunting.
Yet it’s also a powerful act of looking after yourself.
Good on you for reaching out for support, it’s a real sign of strength.
Individual counselling sessions at Men and Relationships Counselling in Melbourne and Bayside are designed to provide a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental conversation where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and challenges with a qualified professional.
As a male counsellor I totally understand you might feel reluctant or hesitant at the thought of opening up in counselling.
Many men have found their conversations with me to be the most effective and validating conversations of their lives.
My Role
I’ll help you make sense of what your underlying issues are and to face the hidden feelings driving your problems. I do this through:
Counselling – a broad name for a wide variety of processes. It helps you adjust to and manage difficult circumstances through your participation in a therapeutic discussion.
Psychotherapy- a focus on resolving long standing deeper concerns. These may be feelings, behaviours or attitudes that have troubled you in all aspects of your daily life for many years.
Your First Consultation – What Happens?
It’s important to me that you feel welcome and comfortable as you begin the counselling process.
Your first session is all about getting to know you.
We’ll start by taking down some personal details and discussing your expectations for counselling.
I also encourage you to ask me any questions about me and the way I work.
You’ll have the opportunity to talk about your current circumstances and what’s brought you here.
Together, we’ll identify the main issues you want to address and develop a plan for moving forward.
There’s no pressure.
Just a welcoming environment where you can feel comfortable and supported.
